The primary reason for using any type of cleaning preparation in the barrel of a firearm is to remove those residues left behind which would adversely affect the accuracy of the firearm and reduce its useful life. If this were not the case you could shoot endlessly without cleaning! Unfortunately, firearms have a fatal flaw. Carbon which is a product of burning powder and Metal fouling from the bullet and Powder residue is deposited in the barrel each time a round is fired, the more these residues build up inside the barrel, the more accuracy decreases. It is the removal of these four types of fouling: 1. Powder fouling (smokeless or blackpowder) 2. Metal fouling (copper or lead alloy) 3. Carbon , 4. Molybdenum (usually introduced by the use of Molybdenum coated bullets), which will restore accuracy in a barrel which otherwise might be considered past its useful life. Most traditional products were never meant to remove anything other than powder fouling. But it is Carbon and Metal Fouling that are the most difficult to remove and are the greatest cause for the loss od accuracy in a firearm. In the past the removal of barrel fouling has required highly aggressive chemicals such as acid and ammonia. These chemicals have been applied in the past with a patch or with a bore brush dipped in the solution. Then with large amounts of elbow-grease the brush was stroked back and forth through the barrel to scrub the fouling residue out. Then a patch was pushed through the bore, and it was checked for evidence of fouling or the lack thereof. This process is repeated until all evidence of fouling is no longer present on a patch. 			PES Full Bore Stainless Steel "Over the Barrel" Sound Moderators Standard threads are 1/2" UNF 20TPI & 5/8" UNF 18TPI. Other threads and moderator lengths are available to special order. These moderators only add 140mm (12 baffles) to the overall length of the rifle when fitted and the rear of the moderator is supported on a delrin bush. Available in aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel. You have the choice of different baffle settings, from 8 to 12 baffles. These stainless steel robust sound moderators have stood the test and in my opinion are one of the best available on the market today!

			Reflex Ase - CQB is an all-steel, all-welded unit. The CQB adds only 550 grams net weight and 120 mm net length to a typical rifle - and with a diameter of just 40 mm, the suppressor is slim enough to be used with low-mounted telescopic or iron sights. The CQB is available with a variety of internal threads to fit directly onto the rifle barrel. 			Reflex Ase Utra rimfire suppressor features excellent sound suppression and is intended for both pistol and rifle use. The suppressor is manufactured from steel components and intended for long service life. The finish on the suppressor is manganese phosphate. The suppressor allows the use of iron sights or low mounted optical sights. The standard thread for the suppressor is the 1/2" x 20 UNF.
